Langley Urbanist Bookclub

The Langley Urbanist Bookclub is a community of readers passionate about urban design, city planning, and creating more livable communities. We explore influential urbanist literature, discuss its relevance to Langley, and build connections with like-minded individuals.

About the Bookclub

The Langley Urbanist Bookclub is led by Michael Pratt, sitting Township of Langley councillor, and includes everyday ordinary citizens alongside working professionals in urbanist spaces.

We pick a book to work through as a group, meeting regularly to discuss chapters, share insights, and explore how the ideas might apply to Langley's context. Previous selections have included:

Community & Discussion

The Bookclub stays in contact on Whatsapp, which also acts as a popular chatroom for various Langley urbanist issues. The group provides a space for ongoing discussions about urban planning, development proposals, and community initiatives in Langley.
