Background in Software Development

James Hansen is the founder of Strong Towns Langley, and currently serves as Chair, working to build relationships with like-minded members of the community, along with councillors, mayors, and staff to advance the mission of our group. Using his background in software development, he has developed advocacy tools and has an analytical approach to policy, while as Social Media Officer, he takes a creative approach when producing content and promoting the group on social media.

Rainer Fehrenbacher

Rainer Fehrenbacher

City of Langley

Rainer Fehrenbacher is a passionate advocate for our group, representing us at council delegations and providing valuable feedback. Having previously fought against suburban sprawl in Abbotsford, he chose to move to Langley in search of a more urban, walkable, and people-oriented community. As the creator and writer of the Langley Union blog, Rainer brings a strong voice to community issues.

Mitchell Nurse is a passionate cycling advocate for HUB Langley, playing a crucial role in promoting cycling initiatives and helping us figure out ways we can make Langley more pedestrian and bike friendly. Mitch has also used his expertise in filming and video production to produce video content for the group.
