About This Role
Give in-person presentations and set up tables at community events and markets to talk about Strong Towns Langley and the difference we are trying to make in the community. Begin with one-on-one virtual training sessions with our board leadership to learn more about the specific issues facing Langley from a Strong Towns perspective and learn how to answer common questions.
Responsibilities
- Represent Strong Towns Langley at community events and markets
- Give presentations to community groups and organizations
- Set up and manage information tables at public events
- Answer questions from community members about Strong Towns principles
- Distribute promotional materials and collect contact information
- Report back on community feedback and engagement
Qualifications
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Comfortable engaging with diverse community members
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable transportation to attend events
- Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
- Enthusiasm for Strong Towns principles
Time Commitment
2-4 events per month, 3-4 hours per event
Skills You'll Gain
