Meeting Organizer
About This Role
Help coordinate in-person public meetings for Strong Towns Langley. Must have lots of flexibility and availability to arrange and attend meetings at cafes, pubs, and public spaces, as well as suitably advertise and promote the meetings.
Responsibilities
- Research and book appropriate venues for public meetings
- Coordinate meeting logistics including setup and cleanup
- Create and distribute promotional materials for meetings
- Manage RSVPs and attendance tracking
- Ensure accessibility requirements are met at all venues
- Coordinate with speakers and presenters
- Follow up with attendees and collect feedback
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Experience with event planning or coordination
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation and ability to scout venues
- Good communication skills for venue negotiations
- Basic graphic design skills for promotional materials (preferred)
Time Commitment
3-5 hours per week, more during event weeks
