November 23, 2024
Professor Sean Markey gave this presentation on his brand new book Nature-First Cities, co-written with Cam Brewer and Herb Hammond, at an event hosted by Strong Towns Langley on November 12th 2024.
About the Book: Nature-First Cities challenges the dominant perception of cities as being either booming metropolises or impoverished slums that are inhospitable to nature and wildlife. Urban greenspace and green infrastructure complement traditional infrastructure, provide many ecological, economic, and social benefits, and contribute to the health and well-being of urban dwellers.
